Excellent and very informative. Would highly recommend this tour. Fills up the entire day too ending with Oia sunset.
this tour was very good, the guide was very informative, friendly and funny. I would have preferred more time at Oia than at the ruins but overall a great experience.
We had an amazing experience with our guide. The ruins of Akrotari , Perissa Beach and the sunset at Oia. So much history and information! We definetly recommend this tour
Enjoyable day. Saw most of the island. Akrotiri was interesting and guide excellent. Stop for lunch nice but didn't need 2 hours. Great view of island from tel of highest point. Winery ok but would have preferred a bit more info. We did not continue on to Oia mainly because partner hip bad and we were staying in Imergovigli with a spectacular view over Caldera and sunset. So called it a day and tour guide arranged for a ride back to hotel which was great. A great day!
4 bus changes during the your. Guide was seen only on the bus. She never told us where washroom was. We were on our own once off the bus.
Good tour. Guide was very knowledgeable. Long day but too long at the lunch stop. Could have been shorter. Very busy at Oia to see the sunset and very unorganised when getting back on board the bus to go back to hotel. Make sure you are on the correct bus as the bus you start out on the tour isn't necessarily the same bus back to your hotel. There are no signs on the bus for their return drop off areas so MAKE SURE YOU ASK! Driver got very irate when people were on the wrong bus and had to make extra stops.
Worth your 8 hours to acquaint and see nearly all of island instead of driving. The bus view stops on cliff fantastic, black beach great, wine tasting of 3 samples okay, liked 1 and bought bottle. Last.stop worth it cause they also droped us off at hotel afterwards. Worth the money cause we had 2 and half days
While it was a good way to see other parts of the island, you’re stuck on a large charter bus which I feel like restricts you. If given the chance again, I’d either rent a car and go to all the places + some of the beaches that the bus couldn’t get to. There’s nothing that this tour does that you couldn’t do yourself and traveling with a large group is just cumbersome on such a tiny island.
Akrotiri archeological site was the only place I felt was worth going and the tour lady seemed very passionate about it, after that the beach and lunch that is not included, we then stopped to a village with nothing interesting to see, wine tasting at santos has amazing views and nice store but we were too rush we stayed there 15 min in total then we had to be on the bus again, after that we had no guide she left and we still had to go to oía for the sun set. It’s a long 9 hours tour just be prepare.
This tour was a hot mess. The driver and guide were good. It started with a 2 hour visit to a dusty, indoor "Archaeological Museum of Thera" where we were required to pay 12 Euro admissions. We got congested from all the dust and had to wait outside for most of the 2 hours. Then we were tken to lunch at the guide's restaurant, which was OK. People who wanted to go swimming had little time for that. After visiting a tiny, undistinguished little town, we were taken to a winery where there was no time, after tasting, to shop for wine and other items. Finally, we were taken to Ia, the only pretty place in Santorini, just before sunset when the town was mobbed with tour buses and people. It was near impossible to find our bus in the congested parking lot at the end. Viator never said we would have to pay other admissions, go to a beach, etc. This was a hot mess.
This was our first trip to Greece. Santorini is a beautiful island and we were anxious to see as much of it as we could see. Our guide, KATIE, was excellent! She was so knowledgeable and friendly. We could not have had a better guide. We thoroughly enjoyed this all day adventure and would recommend it highly to anyone who visits Santorini.
It was a good tour we were able to see everything and than decide where we wanted to go, however the bus could have been cleaner from inside. Some of the seats were ripped.
We had an amazing tour with Brian. He knows so much about the island and everyone knows him no matter where we went. He took us to some really great places and we had a lovely day.
