This was our first tour with funky tours and we were very impressed with our guide who gave us an open and honest explanation of what took place in Sarajevo during the siege. The trip take you to May places of interest and each one in significant to the struggles. I really recommend that you go on this tour if you have the time. Great guide and Driver.
I knew I needed to take this tour and a colleague, who left at the start of the Siege and husband escaped via the tunnel 2 years later, agreed. For logistics alone, if you want to see the Olympics bobsled venue, the Yellow Fortress, drive along Snipers Alley, see different places where snipers accrued, understand where the Tunnel was...this tour is a no brainer. That said, our guide (never knew his name) was a youngster when the Siege started and sort of remembers it (I wish our guide was at least 10+ at the time), his history is necessary for any human who cares to understand why WAR is beyond stupid. Yes, war is stupid. Let's remember that we are ALL humans, regardless of religion, ethnicity, and beliefs. I now better understand nationalism and the difference between the Federation and Republic. Thank you so much!
Excellent tour run by Sarajevo Funky Tours includes a full hour plus at the Tunnel of Hope near the airport including a film presentation. This is followed by a visit to the Trebevic olympic mountain and the Jewish cemetery - an important location in the recent turbulence. Also a visit to the White Fortress for nice views of the city. Highly recommended.
The was run thru Sarajevo Funky Tours. Most excellent tour guides. If you visit the city, this tour is a must to understand the horrors residents lived thru.
This was an amazing tour. The tour guides were very knowledgeable and eager to answer any question. I would highly recommend this for anyone who visits Sarajevo.
