Not what we expected. The first stop was cancelled since they had run out of wine at the Tapa Bar per our tour guide. This was the stop where we were to be served some tapas along with our drink and it looked to be a really fun place. I would have been happy to just get another type of drink and still go there but our guide did not agree. The next stop was the mead tasting and that was great, The next stop was for Mint Juleps that were excellent but our tour guide Bonnie had bartender put the the drinks in plastic cups to go since she felt the bar was too busy. Being this was my first Mint Julep and such a cool bar I was very disappointed we were unable to get the drink served a in pretty glass as the other guests and time to enjoy the bar a bit. The last stop was for Chatham Artillery Punch at the Pirate Bar. I was really looking forward to this stop but once again out guide had the bartender put our drinks in plastic to go cups. We really enjoyed the group and the history part of the tour was very nice but at 160 a couple we just expected much more.
We had a great time with Bonnie on this tour. Lots of history of the various drinks we had, and we covered a lot of Savannah while enjoying some food and beverages. A lot of fun!
Very fun and informative! Bonnie is extremely knowledgable. A highlight of our visit to Savannah.
