Stargazing at Makhtesh Ramon Crater

We will at a point agreed upon before within the Makhtesh Ramon crater (transportation to the point will charged separately in case of need). At the crater a guide will be waiting for you with a telescope, mat and mattresses (and blankets if needed). For the extended activity additional one or two more telescopes will be present, a fire, tea/coffee and some snacks. Your guide will get you acquaintance with the night sky. You will be told about the stars constellations, zodiac signs and asterisms (shapes seen in the night sky). The history of astronomy will be discussed, myths and legends of the night sky and a scientific background of our solar system and beyond. Telescopes observations will enable you to have a look on our solar system, the different planets and the moon. We will also be looking on deep sky objects - star clusters, nebulas, double stars, galaxies and more!

It is truly a unique and memorable experience for children and grownups alike.
