We spent a whole day mesmerized by this interesting jewel near SEATAC Airport. We saw space history with the special exhibit featuring the Space Program from Russia's sputnik, Apollo 11, the moon rover, and so much more. The WWI and WWII exhibits complete with planes, jeeps, etc. was excellent. I enjoyed all of the planes and jets exhibited especially Air-force One used by Presidents Eisenhower, Kennedy, Nixon, and Johnson. Actually walking through the aircraft was amazing. We also watched a 3-D movie about space.
GREAT museum. Must see if you're in Seattle. Air Force One, Concorde, and lots of other cool planes.
Would have been good if there were instructions for getting to the Museum from inner-city hotels was printed too. Museum was really good though and my husband spent the whole day there.
It's very interesting museum, having very good collection of planes from different eras and different areas of the world. There are few very rare examples of aviation like Concorde or Air Force One. You can watch movies about aviation there or take the tour to Boeing Airport which is right by the museum. Better to book this tour earlier. When I was there there was no open spot. It was very easy to get to this museum and convenient trip from area of SeaTac Airport by Light Rail Train to Tukwila International Blvd and then on bus 124. I recommend this place. RomanPi
My visit to the Museum of Flight blew my expectations. I fly all the time and know very little about planes, so it was really cool to learn about different types of aircrafts and their history. I loved walking through the great gallery and seeing so many different types of real planes up close! I'd never seen a cockpit before so I thought that was especially cool. I can see how this museum would be great for all ages, especially for the kiddos. Highly recommended!
