About this activity
Our one way Locks Cruise Stay & Play starts and ends at two different marinas (see specific marina departure notes below). For a round-trip tour - please book the Boat & Bus Locks Cruise package.
Hop aboard the Locks Cruise and learn all about the complex Locks system that provides a link for boats between the salt water of Puget Sound and the fresh water of the Ship Canal, which connects to Lake Union. Watch as the Locks' water levels are adjusted to allow their safe passage, and spot the fish ladder, built to allow salmon to pass between the fresh water and salt water. You'll be treated with live on board commentary and views of the stunning Seattle skyline, Lake Union, Puget Sound, the surrounding mountains, Elliot Bay and a parade of sailboats, motorboats, tugboats, barges and yachts passing through the Locks. You'll even cruise past the iconic floating houseboat community that was featured in the movie Sleepless in Seattle, so take advantage of great photo opportunities here!

I printed my ticket on line, got there early so we could get good outside seats, stood in line for almost an hour and when we got to the person checking tickets, I was told that I needed to go to the office and get a replacement ticket (no place on my printed ticket did it say that). As a result, we were the last ones to get on the boat and no outside seats were available!! Last time I will bring visitors on an Argosy cruise!
