Upon an early transfer from your hotel in Istanbul to the Istanbul Airport enjoy a 55 minutes flight to Izmir. Upon arrival in Izmir Airport, our guide and the driver will meet and transfer us to Ephesus; is one of Turkey`s UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the Seven Churches of Apocalypse. We learn its history from our expert local guide and walk on the remarkably preserved wide marble streets flanked by columns temples and fountains. We look at all the famous highlights like the Temple of Hadrian the Celsus Library Harbor Street and the Great Theater which is still used for performances and special events today. After a lunch at a local restaurant we continue on to the "Artemis Temple" ruins which is one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Here also we would like to introduce you the local cultural aspect of Ephesus region by showing you the handmade carpet & rugs, the art of the weawing and it's teaching at the village and the leather company. In the afternoon visit the House of the Virgin Mary including a scenic drive with the views of the Byzantine fortress in Selcuk along the winding road. The Shrine of St. Mary. is beautifully situated on the Solmissos Mountains, is considered by the Vatican to be the final resting place of the Virgin Mary.
