Joseon Palaces & Folk History
You’ll soon be imagining yourself in the days of yore with a tour of Seoul’s cultural heritage, from the palaces of royalty to the ancient homes of ordinary people. Choose between two immersive tours and begin either tour with the beautiful pavilions and spacious grounds of Gyeongbokgung Palace. Then, your informative guide will lead you on a guided tour of the National Folk Museum to find out about the daily lives of Koreans spanning pre-historic times to the end of the Joseon Dynasty. Explore the peaceful grounds of Jogyesa Buddhist Temple before settling down for a traditional Korean meal. After lunch you can either experience a Joseon Dynasty throwback when you visit the Korean Folk Village, or see Seoul from a more modern perspective when you visit Insadong and the N Seoul Tower for a panoramic view of the city before heading to a classic Hanok VIllage. Walk amongst traditionally built houses, watch artisans in action at a handicraft workshop, join the audience of a folk performance, and even try your hand at traditional games such as arrow throwing and seesaw jumping!
