Small-Group Kayaking in Resurrection Bay from Seward
1 day
Small Group
About this activity
Meet your guide at the central location and listen as they give you a detailed safety briefing. Then, head out on your sea kayak towards Resurrection Bay. Paddle beyond the cove, then stop and walk through a short, forested trail to a cascading waterfall, identifying the wildflowers as you go. Next, move on to North Beach and if time allows, hike to the historic Fort McGilvary and explore the maze of underground passages in the abandoned WWII bunker.
Break for lunch and enjoy a handmade and fresh country-style gourmet lunch and snacks. Afterward, jump back into your kayak and learn about the alpine glaciers and captivating seabirds that you will see on the way back to the dock. Share the ocean waters with puffins, leaping salmon, stellar sea lions, and more. Return to the dock around 4pm.
