1st step: Hotel pick-up

2nd step: Take a taxi or walk to visit the Bund, Shanghai Museum with audio (Closed on Mondays) and People's Square

3rd step: Take the city metro Line 10 to Yu Garden, Yuyuan Market

4th step: Take the city metro Line 1 to Xintiandi

5th step: Back to your hotel by a taxi or metro

At 8:30 to 9:00 am, Your private tour guide will pick you up from the hotel lobby and escort you to the Bund by walk or a taxi to start the exploration. Have a relaxing walking along the Huangpu River while appreciating the historical colonial style architectures on the Bund and the towering skyscrapers on the other bank of the river.

The top of the Shanghai Museum is shaped like an ancient Chinese cooking pot, so it should be tough to miss. Eleven galleries spread over four floors offer an artistic historical tour of the Middle Kingdom dating from as far back as 20 centuries B.C.E. Jade, Ming and Qing dynasty furniture and traditional Chinese calligraphy are a few of the highlights.

Stop At: People's Square (Renmin Guang Chang), People's Square, Huangpu District, Shanghai 200000 China

Then continue to People's Square (including People's Park), where you can immerse yourself into the Museum, or walk around the park to have a glimpse of local people's leisure time and how the anxious parents try to find a spouse for their children who do not care about getting married.

Afterwards, take the city metro Line 10 to Yu Garden, which will show you a traditional Chinese architecture complex consisting of pagodas, pavilions, rockeries, fountains, ancient trees and precious flowers.

Walk out from the garden, take a stroll in Yuyuan Market (or Yuyuan Bazar) or stop at some well-noted snack bar and try some local dim sums.

Stop At: Xintiandi, Lane 181, Taicang Road, Huangpu District, Shanghai 200021 China

And then catch metro Line 1 to the Xintiandi to refresh with a cup of coffee or tea at your own expense. At the end of the day, the guide will accompany you to take a taxi or metro back to your hotel at around 5:00 pm. End of the tour.
