About this activity
Your private tour guide will come to pick you up at your hotel lobby in the morning and take you to Zhaotun Strawberry Park in Qingpu District, which is well-known for its 20 years of research in plant technology. Upon arrival, the first thing you will notice is that you are not actually picking strawberries under a yawning blue sky but in the green house tent with some bees around. But don’t let this deter you; the strawberries are worth it! You will find the strawberries there are sweet and run-down-your-chin juicy. Your guide will accompany you to one of the tents to pick up the strawberries, and you can taste it as well during the picking time. You will surely have so much fun there!

• Sweet White Melon (March–July)
• Cherry (May)
• Blueberry (June–July)
• Peach (July–Aug.)
• Grape (July–Oct.)
• Orange (Oct.–Nov.)
After your joyful fruit picking time, enjoy a fresh and organic lunch at a local farmer’s home.
In the afternoon, you will visit the Zhujiajiao Water Village, an ancient town with a 1,700-year-old history. It's renowned as the “Venice of the East," and it is surrounded by water, with old architecture, tranquil canals, and crumbling bridges.
After the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Shanghai.

We give Wilson a 5 star rating. He is a very friendly guide who told us a lot about Zhujiajiao. He is very informative because he could answer all our questions, also the general ones about Shanghai. Zhujiajiao is a very nice and interesting place to visit, even though it’s a bit touristic. We also enjoyed the fruit picking tour, the lady of the fruit farm was a very bright and joyful woman who explained things in an enthusiastic way, translated by our guide Wilson. Altogether a great day!!
My family enjoyed the day spent at zhujiajiao as well as the fruit picking activity. Our guide, Wilson is helpful, initiative and friendly. The itinerary is relaxing as we were not rushed. My kids had a fabulous time and were reluctant to leave the fruit farm.
It was a wonderful trip. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and had a great time. Everything was planned out wonderfully and we are going to go back with a lifetime of memories. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the place and the small pieces of information she gave us were very appreciated. She was very friendly and very easy to get along with, especially for our 3 year old daughter who had a great time because she ensured that she was comfortable the entire time. Berlin is a very nice and knowledgeable guide. She explained things such as the history to us clearly. She can converse well in English. I would certainly recommend my friends to join this tour if they are in Shanghai.
