I am a local Shanghainese—born, and lived here all my life. I will lead you through th​e narrow streets of a town called Xinchang, 18 miles from downtown Shanghai, a once-thriving port with an 800-year history. It has managed to maintain most of its old buildings and population. Besides walking around the town landmarks, we will visit a traditional Chinese tea house where Ang Lee used as scenes for ' Lust Caution' . Finally, your taste buds will experience some delicious local food, so you can immerse yourself deeper into local life. In just a few hours, we will explore a very different face of Shanghai that makes this city so unique. We'll be off the beaten path for this multi-themed and entertaining experience.
