This memorable tour offers a nice snapshot Shanghai. Our excellent tour guide, Lily, told great stories explaining each area of the tour, as well as Shanghai in general. An authentic Chinese feast featuring Peking Duck was the first stop on our tour. During dinner, we were able to order several delectable dishes in addition to the main Peking Duck course. Lily guided us in our course selections after we told her our food preferences. Next, we enjoyed a stroll along the Bund that rewarded us with breathtaking views of skyscrapers across the Huangpu River, and floodlit colonial buildings along Zhongshan East 1st Road. The skyscrapers seemed to be in competition with each other as to which had the best lightshow, and the colonial buildings reminded me of Europe. After that, we visited the Yu Garden Bazaar. The architecture of the buildings was representative of Old Shanghai. It's a good place for souvenier shopping and grabbing a quick bite to eat. We were still full from our feast, but we were able to sample some local snacks. I highly recommend this enjoyable tour.
