About this activity
After your driver picks you up from your hotel lobby, the tour will begin in Fuxing park. Created in 1909, it was once the largest park in Shanghai and is affiliated with the French Concession. In the early morning, the park has lots of dance-lovers, card players, poker enthusiasts, and Tai Chi solo/group artists. It is the best spot to experience the local lifestyle.
Next, stroll along the world’s most famous promenade, The Bund, where you can discover the old European style architecture. View the buildings built circa 1930 in Puxi, west of Huangpu river, and the modern skyscrapers built over the last 25 years in Pudong, east of Huangpu river. Visit Chenghuangmiao, also known as Shanghai Old town and Yuyuan garden, a Chinese classic privately owned garden built in 1559 during the Ming Dynasty.
After lunch, the tour will proceed to Renmin Park in People’s square. In the Shanghai Marriage Market, if you are lucky, you will meet some Parents of unmarried adults flock to the park every Saturday and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. to trade information on their children. Afterwards, visiting Xintiandi, where you can discover the Shikumen Museum. It is a traditional Shanghainese architectural style combining Western and Chinese elements that first appeared in the 1860s. At the height of their popularity, there were 9000 shikumen-style buildings in Shanghai, comprising 60% of the total housing stock of the city, but today the proportion is much lower as most Shanghainese live in large apartment buildings
Finally, visit Tianzifang, an arts and crafts enclave that has developed from a renovated residential area in the french concession. Once this tour is done, you will be taken back to your hotel.

I have been to Shanghai many times on short business trips but when finally being able to see Shanghai with my family and a great guide like Qinqin makes for a great family bonding. the schedule went smoothly and Qinqin delivered on the aspects of Shanghai which we wanted to see more of which was the french quarter and the range of artist studios in the area. The van was never far behind and was always conveniently accessible. Qinqin command of English greatly helped as well.
The tour was great. Our guide Qinqin arrived on time. She was enthusiastic energetic very knowledgable and accommodating. We had a great vehicle. Highly recommended
