Beneath the Andaman Sea surface at Similan Island National Park is a complex ecosystem commonly called the ‘Rainforest of the Sea. The Similan Islands form an area of great natural beauty and were declared a national marine park in 1982. The underwater world here is full of rock formations and coral reefs in various forms and shapes. With wonderful underwater scenery and rather shallow sea level the area is suitable for skin diving to look at coral gardens and schools of colorful fishes, you have entered one of the best snorkeling sites in Thailand.

An early morning transfer by minivan will bring you and your fellow travelers to the main boat pier where your speed boat for the day will be ready to welcome you on board. Consisting of nine islands fringed with rocky outcrops and beaches with fine white sand, this location is a snorkeler’s dream. Water clarity is excellent and each island has its own unique scenery. In the morning, guests are taken across the Andaman Sea to Koh Miang where guests can either snorkel in Princess Bay or explore the island and laze on the beach.

Afterwards, a lunch is served with this idyllic background as your decor. Then it is time to head to Christmas Point for swimming and snorkeling and then onto Donald Duck Bay for either swimming, or a hike to the island’s viewpoint, called Sailing Boat Rock, visible by its huge symbolic rock of sailing boat shape atop the mountain.

The captain and his crew will give you ample time to enjoy the beauty before a speed boat ride back to the mainland and your resort where you will arrive at around 17:30 hrs.

To control the number of visitors to the Similan National Marine Park, visitors are obliged to give the full name and passport / ID number during booking. Non-compliance may result in not being able to join the excursion. The tour needs to be booked at least 3 days in advance.
