Together, the Šibenik Bay and the St Anthony's Channel form the significant landscape ''Channel-Port'' in Šibenik, which stretches from the Šibenik Bridge all the way to the exit from the St Anthony's Channel. Within the protected natural area that is the significant lanscape ''Channel-Port'' in Šibenik , there is the buffer zone of St Nicholas' Fortress, a monument under the protection of UNESCO.
The channel is a natural phenomenon admired for its pristine beauty. It was named after Saint Anthony the Abbot and is the only natural sea-way to Šibenik.

Belonging to Šibenik’s main Franciscan Monastery, this church boasts Gothic origins but was given a full Baroque makeover, with leading 17th-century painter Matej Pončun providing a series of dramatically turbulent altar paintings.
A doorway from the square just outside the church’s main entrance leads through to the monastery courtyard, where a row of stone buildings contain a range of displays dealing with church history, and examples of the monastery library’s rich collection of manuscripts and books.

This venerable 14th-century lump of stone is famous for the balustraded staircase on the street-facing side, said to be the work of prolific stonemason Nikola Firentinac. Sprouting from the upper part of the balustrade are a series of angels’ heads in relief form, while a severely eroded lion stands guard at the bottom. The church’s four-storey belfry boasts the town’s oldest mechanical clock, made by Ottoman craftsmen and used in Drniš before being brought to Šibenik. I The church is closed for visitors.

Opened in 2007, fully restored after a century of neglect, the garden of the St Lawrence monastery complex is the only one of its kind in Croatia and is surprisingly rare in Europe. The restoration was completed by award-winning landscape architect Dragutin Kiš and follows pathways designed in a cross, with areas filled with sweet-smelling medicinal plants and herbs.

One of the great architectural wonders of the world the Cathedral of St. James, dominates the front of Sibenik's gorgeous old town. Cathedral of St. James in Sibenik is the most important architectural achievement of the Renaissance on Croatian soil. Due to its exceptional value, this Gothic-Renaissance monument is on UNESCO’s World Heritage list since 2000th.

This building dates from the 16th century and belongs to the Renaissance. During the Second World War, in December 1943 it was completely destroyed by bombing. Harold Bilinić has renovated it with a facsimile method. On the right side there is a bell tower with a ring which has invited the town council to the meetings. The ground floor is open with semicircular arcades . On the colums are the reliefs of the lion’s head.
The beautifully proportioned colonnaded loggia now houses the Vijećnica café-restaurant, and also forms the backdrop to many of the events comprising the annual Šibenik Children’s Festival.
