Your full-day adventure begins with a morning drive to the beautiful Paltinis mountain resort. The town is situated at an altitude of 1,448 meters, and is a 35-kilometer drive from Sibiu.
This is where you’ll start your hiking tour through the dark forests of Transylvania to the Gaujoara Glade. From there, your tour guide will lead you up to the Oncesti Peak (at 1,725 meters), where you’ll have breathtaking views of the Transylvanian plateau.
Next you’ll hike up to Wolf Glade, and after a picnic continue to Rasinari, a picturesque Romanian shepherding village in the foothills of the Carpathian Mountains. In Rasinari you’ll visit the Orthodox Mitropoly, the first of its kind in Transylvania, before heading back to your hotel in Sibiu.
