Find out more about the Peranakans who brought with them culinary secrets with rich flavors, it is no wonder some say Katong/Joo Chiat is a food paradise.

Your first stop will be to enjoy the tantalizing Laksa, one of Singapore's favorite hawker dishes, spoon scoop of noodles in spicy paste and fishcake topped with coriander.

Then it's off to visit the beautiful interior of a traditional Peranakan shop house where you could also pick up a souvenir or two.

Explore the charming and laid-back streets of Joo Chiat under the moonlight and cool night air, while marveling at the exceptionally ornate and exquisite rows of award winning pre-war terrace and shop houses, a distinct feature in this heritage town. Your guide will fill you up with stories about this area and point out the unique architectural elements of these buildings.

In between the walk, there will be two other eating stops where we'll sample more yummy local delights from the Peranakan and Malay communities.

The tour will end at the same MRT station.
