Quite a few people told us this trip in October was not recommended because of the distance from Reyjkavik and losing daylight. I had it in my head we needed to get there and so glad I persisted. Yes it was a long day but we stopped at so many amazing places along the way, he even made sure we started our day off right with a quick breakfast at a bakery. The Glacier lagoon is amazing, probably my favorite thing on the quick trip. The duck boat was a bit crowded, I wish we had the option of the rib boat but it is not available this time of year, regardless the boat was worth it. The guide was great, he never rushed us and tried to show us as much as possible. Wish we had done the golden circle via private tour, felt a bit rushed through all the stops.
