On booking we chose the premium option on the Itama 38 boat. What we got was a smaller boat, which felt cramped even with only 10 people (should've been 12) + skipper and crew member. The pickup was 25mins late going and no transport was waiting when we returned. Should've set sail at 9.30am. But didn't leave until 10.10am. Tour representative said boat was late due to waiting for permits, then when asked why we were on a smaller boat than booked was told, Itama 38 was for private hire only, when I said it was the boat on the website that we chose, she then said there was a problem with the engine and we were fobbed off with "but it's the same trip". It was the same trip, just on a smaller boat. She didn't grasp that the company are providing something different to what they advertise. The crew said it's a daily occurrence and when we arrived back the tour rep admitted it happens all the time. The trip itself was excellent and thee crew were friendly and helpful. We had enough time in Positano and Amalfi, lunch was great and there was plenty of opportunity for swimming in the sea. The waterfall stop was a highlight. 5* for the crew / 1* for Sorrento Sea Tours as they couldn't care less.
The perfect boat tour: two towns, Positano and Amalfi, to visit, couple beautiful water stops to jump in, and really nice Captain and crew man. The sites along the water were stunning! They stopped and showed us some amazing little spots you could only see by boat in one day. There were 8 people on the boat, really nice size group. Highly highly recommend!
