3 h
About this activity
After you are picked up from the centrally located Hotel in Sorrento, you will take a short ride to a real farm on the Sorrento Peninsula.
Here you will be warmly welcomed by the 4th generation owner of the farm who will provide a short introduction of his family and their job. Then you will begin the walking tour through the orchards! Along the way you will meet friendly animals and in the middle of the 100-year old olive grove, you’ll learn how the farm produces some of the finest extra-virgin olive oil in the world. In addition, you will see the great care and attention that goes into producing so many fruit trees and other seasonal vegetables used as the basis for world-famous Mediterranean Cuisine! You’ll also see traditional picking techniques, as well as entertaining demonstrations and explanations. Then You’ll even notice the farm’s beehives and you’ll learn why bees are so important in organic farming. Don’t worry, you won’t get stung!
Then you’ll wander among the 800 trees in the Lemon Orchard where you will discover how the farm produces unique-tasting citrus, symbolic of the Sorrento Peninsula. Your guide will explain how the lemons are picked, how the famous “Pergolas” are built, and what they are used for. As you look ahead, you will see a wild chestnut forest.
When the walking tour is finished, you will visit the ancient family winery to learn how red wine is still made using the old wine press and wooden barrel and how are cured the meats!
Afterwards you will head to the tasting room to try the farm’s fresh products: homemade lemonade, sliced lemons with sugar, fresh pressed olive oils even in different specialties on homemade bread, citrus marmalades, local cheese and honey.
You will finish with Lunch that will include a first traditional course prepared using seasonal products and Lemon dessert topped off with a frosty glass of Limoncello, the quintessential Italian liqueur. You will even learn the family recipe!
With a full belly, you will relax on the journey back to Sorrento, as you plan for your return trip to the farm.

Got picked up by a comfortable bus within walking distance of where we were staying. Upon arrival at the farm, we were welcomed by Eugenio and his brother, Raphael. Eugenio took us through the farm explaining about what is grown and processed on their farm. All very interesting. Then we tasted a variety of cheeses, oils, marmalades with wine and fresh lemonade. We then had a wonderful lunch. It was a fun day!! Highly recommend.
Loved this farm tour. We really enjoy connecting with the people, Eugenio was so informative about his family farm and all the things they do with the produce. Highlight was the meal prepared by his mother Maria for us at the end of tour. Truly felt like we were part of the family and the food was amazing!!!
