A two-hour tour of the Viking town of Sigtuna

Stop At: Sigtuna Boardwalk, Sigtuna, Sigtuna Municipality Sweden

At the lake front we will talk about the founding of Sigtuna in 980, Viking ships and how and where the Scandinavian Vikings travelled.

Stop At: S:t Olofs Church Ruins, 9 Olofsgatan, Sigtuna, Sigtuna Municipality 193 30 Sweden

After having left the lake front, we will walk on Stora Gatan, the oldest street in Sweden. We then visit the Sigtuna Museum to see archaeological finds from Sigtuna's thousand year old history. We then head on to St Per's Church Ruin and we walk along the Rune Path to study different rune stones and the rune script. Before entering St Olofs Church Ruin, we look at the St Lars Church Ruin and the Maria Church from 1250.

We will end the tour outside the Sigtuna Radhus with drinking a horn of mead
