A visit to the gracious Chinese Pavilion is a must if you go to Drottningholm World Heritage Site. It appears like a fairy palace in the woods and it is decorated according to how Europeans dreamed about how it was to live the the far-away China. You will among other things see Chinese-inspired Swedish Rococo furniture, imported Chinese porcelain, silk wallpapers and exclusive works of art. The Pavilion consist in total of 15 different rooms, all with Chinese decorations and lots of works of art. We will also see a handful other buildings in the surroundings like the Confidence which was used as a private dining room. There will be audioguides available.

The Drottningholm Palace gardens are among the finest in Sweden and during your walk in the gardens you will see The Baroque Garden that was created in the 1600s upon the initiative of Queen Hedvig Eleonora, The Rococo Gardens that surrounds the Chinese Pavilion that was made in the 1700s and The English Garden that Fredrik Magnus Piper was commissioned in 1780 to create with ponds, canals, islets and beautiful bridges, expansive lawns, tree-lined avenues and tree groves.
