Stop At: Rock Art Brewery, 234 Wilkins St, Morrisville, VT 05661-6117

Rock Art Brewery was born in the mountains of Vermont, inspired by the spirit of Kokopelli, the Native American god of fertility known for bringing abundance and happiness, and uses the beers of the world as its guide. The brewery name symbolizes ancient petroglyphs, images that were etched in rock, and therefore, literally “Rock Art.” Kokopelli is one of those images, and many believed him to be a wandering flute player that brought music, harmony and good times to the people he visited. And that’s exactly what Rock Art aims to do with their craft beers, which we guarantee will be joy to your tastebuds, and you may even have visions of Kokopelli dancing in your head!

Duration: 50 minutes

Stop At: Ten Bends Beer, 590 E Main St, Hyde Park, VT 05655-9267

Mike Scarlata and Jason Powell, co-owners of Ten Bends Beer, are true Vermont natives. Their current Hyde Park location opened its doors in 2016 following the use of Jason’s workshop in Johnson, where they embraced frigid northern Vermont winters by home brewing and discovering their professional compatibility. The Lamoille River—a landmark near and dear to the hearts of locals— that bends ten times between the towns of Morrisville and Johnson, VT has become their new namesake. Ten Bends provides the public with five beers on tap on a regular basis with occasional bottle releases. Many of the beers brewed there today are takes on the original recipes created in Jason’s workshop, revealing that they are dedicated to their craft and work to incorporate the culture of their home into their brewery.

Duration: 50 minutes

Stop At: von Trapp Brewing, 1333 Luce Hill Rd, Stowe, VT 05672-4730

Don’t quote us on this, but we’re pretty sure that “the hills are alive with the taste of craft beer” is how the song was originally written for the Sound of Music. (Let us have our fantasies.) Over a decade ago, Johannes von Trapp started toying with the idea of brewing his own beer for guests to add to the experience of his welcoming Stowe, Vermont resort. His dream was to produce an Americanized version of the tasty Lager he enjoyed over the years on his trips to the Austrian countryside near his ancestral home. A popular après-ski destination with delicious house-made food and brew, Trapp Brewery and it’s expansive beer hall is the perfect spot to relax after an exhilarating day on the slopes, hiking trails or as the last destination on the great Stowe Beer Tour!
