This day tour was an awesome experience and definitely worth the cost. Despite the freezing cold windy weather, Dave made it fun and showed us so many cool places. The waterfalls were beautiful. The highlight of the trip was definitely Kangaroo Valley with the wombats and kangaroos and dinner though. Unforgettable day, highly recommend!!
Dave was awesome. I highly recommend this tour. I have some mobility issues and Dave was understanding and helpful throughout. He picked us up promptly and made the day a truly memorable experience. If you want a great hands on experience like no other, this is the tour for you! Bravo.
I had high expectations for this tour because I had purchased it as an anniversary present for my husband who loves wombats and desperately wanted to see them in the wild and I could not be more pleased. There are no other tours like this one and it is really special to have so much connection with nature and animals throughout the entire day. We started out along the coast (saw a humpback whale during whale season!) where we had a delicious lunch and then worked our way into the rainforest where we saw lyrebirds and then finally kangaroos and HEAPS OF WOMBATS. They all seemed really healthy and happy which meant a lot to me. It would be wonderful for people of all ages and especially good for kids although our van was full of couples and singles in their 20s and 30s and we had a great time. Stop looking and book this tour now before it sells out because this tour was the highlight of our 2 week trip to Australia. Thank you so much Dave!!
Dave just started this tour a few months ago, but it seems like he's been doing it for a long time. The sights were great. We got to see the Kiama Blowhole and numerous waterfalls, walk through a rainforest, and take in ocean views. Of course, the best part was the up close encounter with the wombats in the evening. While Dave cooked us a barbeque dinner, we got to walk around the camp ground and get up close with at least 15-20 wombats roaming around the clearing. The wombats were very focused on eating the grass and didn't mind you standing next to them and getting great pictures. As the sun set, at least 2 or 3 dozen kangaroos and more wombats emerged from the bush to graze in the clearing. It's definitely an all inclusive tour. Dave bought us meat pies for lunch and cooked us a great BBQ dinner with beef, chicken, and veggie burgers along with some kangaroo, emu, and crocodile meat to sample. He also had wine and beer to go along with dinner and extra bottles of water. I would have liked a bit more narration during the drives between attractions, but overall this was a fantastic day out and one of the best value day trips you can go on in Australia.
If you are looking for an experience with both photo-ops AND wildlife encounters, this tour is for you. I snapped hundreds of beautiful photos, ate lunch outside like a local on a stunning bay, learned a great deal about the Australian wildlife and wilderness, and ended the day with BBQ by Dave among the Wombats and Kangaroos. This tour had lots of stops leading up to the final Wombats and Kangaroo experience, where I was treated to eye-and-lens candy aplenty, so be ready to see a variety of the local wilderness sites before you walk with the Wombats. Dave is thoughtful enough to provide USB charging cables and ports in the tour van, which I used to manage the gigs of photos I took on this tour. He was also ready with bottled water during the whole day, and was very diligent about providing for the majority-vegetarian crowd he had on our tour. The BBQ he did at the end was perfect, and there were even Tim Tams!!! I was a solo traveler for this, and Dave was very attentive on the initial drive to get the group talking, even though I was the only native English speaker. Overall, this tour exceeded my expectations, since I went into this wanting lots of photos and time to walk along with the wildlife, and I got that AND more. Thanks for a perfect day, Dave!
Dave from Perfect Day Sydney is the perfect tour guide. We spent the entire day exploring the Morton and Budderoo parks and seaside town of Kiama. Had a traditional Aussie meat pie lunch and lovely BBQ dinner with wombats and kangaroos in Morton park. It was an all day wonderful trip all should see.
Even though it was rainy, we had a great day with Dave. The BBQ in the evening was the highlight of the tour.
This tour was the highlight of my trip to Sydney. David was a kind and informative host. The itinerary was just as described. After great vistas and lots of waterfalls in national parks, we spent the evening surrounded by tons of kangaroos and wombats.
