Tainan Culture By Night
As the oldest city in Taiwan, Tainan is a haven for history buffs, with plenty of intriguing landmarks, dedicated to culture and religion. This night tour takes you to three of the most revered sites of Tainan; after dinner, you will first be taken to Fort Provinitia, also known as Chickan Towers, which contains softly-lit Chinese-style towers built upon a Dutch fort surrounded by a picturesque Japanese garden, complete with a koi fish pond. Known to be one of the prettiest sites in Tainan, Fort Provintia is an excellent way to start your tour, which then takes you to Xiaonan City God Temple, an elaborate structure adorned with hundreds of images of soldiers and dragons. Finally, you can view some folk artefacts at the Five Channels Harbor District Regional Cultural Museum; built upon an area that was once Tainan’s business centre, the museum itself has a history as inspiring as the collections contained inside.
