Stop At: Yeh Liu Geo Park, No.167-1, Kangton Rd. Yeh Liu Village, New Taipei 207 Taiwan
Yehliu Geological Park (野柳地質公園) resides within a cape 1.7km long and is home to some of the most famous eroded rock formations in the world.
Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes
Stop At: Golden Waterfall, Jinguashi village, Ruifang District, New Taipei Taiwan
Golden Waterfall is located near the Gold Ecological Park (黃金博物園區) in Jinguashi. Although real gold flowing from these falls would be too good to be true, the water is certainly a beautiful gold color as a result of the combination of regular rainfall in this mining area and the abundance of heavy metal elements deposited in the riverbed.
Duration: 10 minutes
Stop At: Chiufen (Jiufen Old Street), Jishan Street, New Taipei 22450 Taiwan
With an unmatched old town atmosphere and seaside flair, Jiufen (九份) is a must see spot when visiting northern Taiwan. Always teeming with tourists, you might notice that Japanese people make up a huge proportion of the crowds gathered. Many are keen to catch a glimpse of the setting of Hayao Miyazaki's Academy Award winning “Spirited Away”, especially the iconic red lanterns. This is also a film mecca for lovers of Taiwanese film, especially fans of Hou Hsiao-hsien's “A City of Sadness” (悲情城市), which utilized Jiufen as the backdrop to the events of the 228 Incident. Given Hou’s recent award of Best Director in the 2015 International Cannes Film Festival for his new film “The Assassin”, we expect even more people will make their way here in years to come.
Duration: 2 hours
Stop At: Shifen Waterfall, No.10 Gankeng Road, Nanshan Village, Pingxi District, New Taipei 226 Taiwan
Shifen Waterfall (十分瀑布) is the most renowned cascading waterfall in Taiwan.
Duration: 40 minutes
Stop At: Shifen Old Street, New Taipei Taiwan
Shifen Old Street is a bustling hub for those eager to get a glimpse of an old railroad town which still retains the charm of yesteryear. Originally built to transport coal, the Shifen Old Street stop has now become one of the most popular on the Pingxi rail-line. It is easy to see why so many are drawn here - local food, souvenir shops and puffing trains add to the charm of this little gem, as well as make it a fantastic place for photography.

We had a great time, there were two of us on this trip, so we could take our time on places we were interested in. The driver was excellent, even took photos for us. Highly recommended and will come back again.
I really enjoyed my day ! They were so many things and so many places to see! The guide was really nice and if you want to visit all of these places it is the most convenient ! :D I highly recommend you this tour !
Good coverage of Places of interest but service provided by assigned driver was poor. He kept cutting the time spent at each location. Time given at Yehliu geopark was 1.5 hours according to the itinerary but he gave us 1 hour. Thereafter, he cut the time at the next location to 50 mins, and 45 mins after. When sending us back to the hotel, he wanted to drop us a street away, when obviously a drop-off at the hotel was a basic requirement. Everything else was Ok otherwise.
Guide is really friendly and knowledeable about the places that he brought us to. He's also very accomodating and friendly, willing to let us increase or decrease the time for each location and even bring us to a wonderful location that wasn't part of the tour. Will definitely recommend it to other travellers looking for easier form of traveling with their friends and family, as well as any others that wants to know more about the places they will be visiting.
The tour guide Mr. Fang is very enthusiastic. He is the driver and also briefing explained the story of each spot he brought us. He also brought us to some spots which are not in the schedule. We see more than we expected.
It was awesome trip to natural places with nice toure guide and group. I strongly recommend this tour.
The weather wasn't on outside on that day. So didn't get to enjoy anything. Nevertheless the driver Mr Chang was helpful throughout our journey.
This was our first tour in Taipei and loved it! First, the driver picked us up on time at the hotel along with two other families. He took us to the Yehliu Geopark, the lanterns, and a few other places that i couldn't remember on top of my head. There were alot of people at Yehliu Geopark and was very hot. After we went over to buy some fruits and drinks at the local shops. My favorite part of this trip was the lanterns in Shifen town. Jiufen town was a shopping town. Great place to buy souvenirs and tea. Our driver was very nice and friendly. He took pictures for us and explained us things each places we at. Thank you. Highly recommend this tour.
Great experience at the Sky Lantern DIY, letting your dreams and prayers go up as the lanterns flew up in the Sky. Jiufen was great for shops and food to eat but it was tiring walking up and down so many steps. Yehliu Geopark is a spot not to be missed as it has the natural wonders of various shaped rocks Queen's head, the most famous of it all. The trips to two waterfalls was an added tour destination. however, our drive/guide does not speak English well so this trip could have been more informative if a well versed tourist driver is assigned for all those taking these trips. This was supposed to be part of the package.
Tour guide is nice and helpful. It was a small group of seven people when I joined, all well traveled so it was a fun atmosphere. Interesting tour.
