Day 1: Pick up from LIR Airport and transfer to La Oveja Negra Surf Camp

Stop At: Tamarindo Beach, Tamarindo Costa Rica
Day 1: Welcome to Costa Rica! You will land at Liberia International Airport where a shuttle will be waiting for you (you'll see your name on a card) to take you to your cabina in Tamarindo, Costa Rica, an hour from the airport. You will meet with your instructor who will give you an introduction to the course and get your prepared for your first lesson the following day.

Day 2: Surf Lesson

Stop At: Tamarindo Beach, Tamarindo Costa Rica
Day 2: After breakfast you'll head out to the beach with your instructor for your first evaluation/introduction lesson. First surf lesson will be reviewing surf basics such as popping up, paddling, and stance. Assessment of current surf abillity to create a custom surf plan and goals for each student

Day 3: Surf Lesson

Stop At: Tamarindo Beach, Tamarindo Costa Rica
Surf Lesson: Continuation of improving on the basics of popping up, paddling, stance and intro to reading waves.
Duration: 2 hours

Day 4: Guachipelin Adventure Volcano Combo

Stop At: Rincon de La Vieja National Park, Costa Rica
Get ready for your volcano tour! You'll be picked up from your hotel in the morning and taken to Hacienda Guachipelin for the best all-day adventure combo on Rincon de la Vieja Volcano. The day includes a ziplining course with 11 cables, a rappel, a Tarzan swing across the canyon, and a rock climbing wall. You'll then prepare for a 30-minute horseback ride to the Colorado River. At the river, you'll ride in your own tube for 5 kilometers; the river has a great mix of rapids as well as lazy places where you can float and admire the scenery. After a buffet lunch, you'll end the day at Rio Negro hot springs where you can relax among 10 different pools – and enjoy a volcanic mud bath.

Day 5: Surf Lesson & Sunset Cruise

Stop At: Tamarindo Beach, Tamarindo Costa Rica
Surf Lesson: Learning to read waves and be able to paddle into them efficiently. Stance, board position and balance improvement. Intro to surf etiquette and safety.

Antares Sunset Cruise: An amazing sunset cruise from Tamarindo, you'll set sail for the afternoon on an 80-foot Schooner with open bar, 6 gourmet courses, live music, snorkeling and swimming. The boat has large bean bag chairs so that you can get comfortable while servers bring you amazing food and drinks the entire afternoon until sunset.

Day 6: ATV Mountain Tour & Surf Lesson with Photos

Stop At: Tamarindo Beach, Tamarindo Costa Rica
ATV Mountain Tour: You will be given helmet and goggles and a 15 minute instruction lesson on how to operate the Honda semi-automatic ATVS. If you haven’t ever driven an ATV before, don’t worry! They are very easy and the crew will make sure you are comfortable driving before setting off on the tour. After everyone has been though the safety and operational orientation, everyone will begin driving off into the mountains surrounding Tamarindo.

You will drive through the beautiful tropical forest in the mountains surrounding Tamarindo where you will most likely see monkeys, iguanas, and more hanging out in the trees! You will start off driving on dirt roads up to the mountains and then continue down off road trails. Be prepared to get dirty! You will also get to lookout points along the way with stunning views of the Tamarindo Bay.

Must be 16 years old with a valid drivers license to drive the ATVs, otherwise, you must ride as a passenger on the back of a driver.

Day 7: Surf Trip To Avellanas Beach

Stop At: Playa Avellanas, Tamarindo Costa Rica
Surf Trip to Playa Avellanas to seek out bigger waves and practice more of what you have learned.
Duration: 4 hours

Day 8: Departure to LIR Airport

Stop At: Tamarindo Beach, Tamarindo Costa Rica
After breakfast you will go out for your last morning surf lesson. After pickup from your hotel you'll be driven to LIR airport. If your flight is in the morning we will move this lesson to another day.
