We were met at the gate as soon as we exited the ship by our guide and enjoyed a tour with only 7 others. Our guide was very knowledgeable and made the day trip most enjoyable. The tour of the Manuka Honey plant was very interesting as was the visit to a kiwi farm.
Really enjoyed Carol's happy and fun disposition as well as her great knowledge of the area and special-insider feel at each of the stops, especially the farms. A great tour to learn about the variety of agriculture and other experiences available in that area.
Carol our guide who is owner/operator was great and she made our day in Tauranga such a delight! The tour took us into the beautiful countryside of the area and offered us amazing views. We visited a Kiwi orchard where we were taken on a tour aboard their tram and then sampled various Kiwi varieties, jams and ice cream. We also visited a world famous Manuka honey store where we saw an active bee hive and enjoyed various Manuka honey samples and ice cream I would definitely recommend Wicked Wanders!
Carol was very knowledgeable about the local history and kept the tour entertaining all the time.
A small group tour conducted in this instance by the owner. We saw some beautiful beaches, great views across Tauranga Harbour to the City. We visited Kiwifruit farm where our tour guide displayed exceptional knowledge of kiwifruit farming which was interesting.Visited shop where sampling of kiwifruit product and sale of kiwifruit ice cream were on offer. Also visited Manuka Honey at Comvita where we learned a lot about Manuka Honey and its medicinal uses. We saw the bees in action, and learnt a lot about how they operate. A friendly tour operator, very knowledgeable, and good value.
