Absolutely fabulous tour. Very lucky to have Ami as our guide....extremely knowledgeable about all things. Very steep walk so wear trainers etc. cover about 8 - 10 miles. Gives different views on things also so you can have your own opinion.
Very knowledgeable guide who read from the Bible at each spot for reference. You must be in very good physical shape for the walking- up and down many hills And steps. Highly recommended
The trip started off just a bit shaky due to me not getting the change in the pickup time. I originally was notified of a 630am pickup and it was changed to 715am. Once I was picked up the rest was good. The overall tour was outstanding. The guide was very cordial and knowledgeable. He took the necessary time to answer questions and offered great explanations which included reading from the Bible. The flow was great....I must point out the tour was not for individuals who had mobility issues...walking is a must. The title of the tour, "In the Footsteps of Jesus" was an accurate title. The tour should be coupled with another tour that covers the Stations of the Cross. Please pass on to the guide on the April 15th tour, cannot remember his full name, starts with a S...he did a great job!!!
Tamar the guide was vey friendly and her religious knowledge was passionate and thorough. She made everyone feel comfortable and not rushed, so they could enjoy jesus' last week in living the ancient city. She even got us a taxi, when it got too hot for us to walk much further, as the tour involved a lot of walking in a hot city. The group consisted of people from many different faiths and Tamar answered all the questions sensitively, enthusiastically and in depth. There was much to see and lunch and facilities were provided at a reasonable cost. We enjoyed seeing all the sites visited - the Graves on the western slope of the Mount of Olives (a jewish burial site) and also the Pater Noster, the Garden of Gethsemane and the Church of All Nations. The skyline of mixed faiths and places of worship was most inspiring! Be aware that this is a walking tour, although we managed ok (we are both over 55, and went in the cooler months of March).
