A Day in Kanchanaburi
Drive out to Kanchanaburi, Thailand’s third largest province, located west of Bangkok, and spend a day taking in the turbulent history of the area. You’ll first visit the bridge over the River Kwai, a historical landmark that is part of the Death Railway built by Allied prisoners of war, under control of the Japanese in 1942. You’ll also visit the Jeath War Museum to enhance your knowledge and the War Cemetery where thousands of POWs were laid to rest.
