Itinerary
Our tours will take the visitors on a journey through the mythology and history of chocolate, while participating in a unique “hands-on” experience in each of the stages that cacao undergoes to become a delicious and fine chocolate.
The tour begins by explaining the history of our company and our socio-economic contribution to El Porvenir, Upala, in the northern part of Costa Rica, which is one of the most impoverished areas of the country.
We will explain all stages of cacao production, from sowing, development, pollination, harvesting, fermentation and drying and relation to other species.
Finally, the customer will see the inside of the factory through glass windows, where you can see the different machines that process the cacao bean to the final product: gourmet chocolate.
The tour ends with a demonstration in the store explaining tempered chocolate, which is a very important process to exalt the qualities in a chocolate: brightness, smoothness, homogeneity.
