The reindeer trip was really enjoyable, got to feed them and the stew was gorgeous. Hearing about the Sami culture was interesting and glad they are trying to keep the old ways.
This tour is a relaxing experience with the Samis and their Reindeer. Each Sledge takes two seated passengers, the Sami herdsman ropes all the sledges together and takes everyone round a well trodden path. you are free to enjoy the fresh mountain air and experience the stillness and quiet atmosphere around you. After the ride we went to feed the Reindeer and after that we went to have some lunch in a Sami tent. Our host gave us some interesting information about the Sami people and their culture, and soon enough, it was time to head back to town. The only downside is that we weren't shown or practiced any Lasso throwing, which is included in the Tour.
Excellent experience, although we didn't get to throw Lassos because it was raining. Very interesting learning about the Sami Culture and i'm ashamed to say, I really enjoyed the reindeer Stew! :- Would recommend this experience.
