Mongolian Horse-head Fiddle With Honored Masters - UB City Experience
6 h
About this activity
Itinerary
This intensive Experience is for all music lovers who deeply desire to have “a taste” ethnic instruments unique to particular countries… From Mongolia’s rich cultural musical history - almost no instrument is culturally and traditionally defined as “being” Mongol than the famed Horse-head Fiddle.
Today we’ll see how a horse-head fiddle is produced before we make our way to the studio where our local resident/state-honored professional will provide you an ‘on hands’ introduction in relation to the instrument. From this time forwards you will be instructed by the professional Fiddler - you’ll be taught the basic holding techniques, cello-like movements, and initial hand-postures to produce different notes across the musical scale. If you are ‘lucky’ - as it’s 100% dependent on you - you may even learn a quick melody that captures the spirit of the Mongol Horse.
