Vancouver Coastal Canyon Tour

About this activity
After your guide picks you up, head on a scenic drive to the North Shore. You'll start the day with Capilano Canyon, where you get a great view of Capilano Reservoir, Cleveland Dam and the Lions (a pair of pointed peaks high above North Vancouver.) Afterwards, head into the forest, taking a short, scenic loop along the canyon and stopping at a fish hatchery where at certain times you are able to see salmon hop up the fish ladder.
Next, drive out to Whytecliff Park on the corner of Howe Sound, where you can look over the ocean towards Squamish, Bowen Island and the various islands scattered throughout this region. Here, you'll follow your guide on an easy hike along the cliff and then walk down to the beach. If you have good footwear and it's low tide, you can climb up the rocky hill that is connected to the beach out in the ocean! You can also enjoy lunch here while you take in the view.
Finish the day with a short but scenic drive along the coast and cliffs to Lighthouse Park, another beautiful park on the coast with multiple viewpoints. In addition to breathtaking views of the ocean, Lions Gate Bridge, Vancouver, and Vancouver Island, you can see the oldest Douglas Fir trees in the Vancouver area. Some of these trees are more than 200 feet tall and 500 years old. There is also a 1914 lighthouse that is still in use.
After a fantastic day, head back to your location, arriving at approximately 3:30pm. Enjoy complimentary round-trip transportation by SUV or bus from Vancouver, Richmond, or Delta. Pickup time is at approximately 9am.

Absolutely amazing, so beautiful!! I would do this again and again!! Was truly worth it. Hayley was very kind and she knew her stuff!! Would definitely recommend this to everyone!!
This was an excellent tour and Haley could not have been a better guide. She took us to places around Vancouver away from the city that we would never have seen otherwise. he was informative, helpful, and accommodating. We were even lucky enough to see orcas. My only caution is to recognize that this walk involves climbing on rocks, unpaved paths and some steep ascents. Well worth it, however.
My partner and I went on a tour with Haley about a month ago. It was really convenient, as we were picked up at our hotel, and then taken to three beautiful parks! This was a really great way to see some of the green spaces north and west of Vancouver. If you're from out-of-town and not keen on driving in/around a new city, this is an excellent option. The walks/hikes in Capilano Canyon, Whytecliff Park and Lighthouse Park are not strenuous, and Haley will absolutely keep pace with you. Even if you're totally out of shape, like I am! And while this is most certainly in the tour description, I would just reiterate that you should bring a ton of water and adequate sun protection. It was a very hot, sunny day when we went out and while we had adequate water, I didn't re-apply sunscreen and forgot to bring a hat, much to my chagrin later that day. Bottom line: a fantastic tour with a personable tour guide. Book it, get outside, and HAVE FUN!
