About this activity
The Full day tour around Varanasi will begin with your pick-up at 5.00 am from your hotel lobby. Board the car and leave for witnessing the morning Ganga Aarti at Dashashwamedha Ghat. The refreshing Aarti will be followed by visits to important temples in Varanasi.
Kashi Vishwanath Temple is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas (holiest Shiva temples) with three sparkling domes made of pure gold. Monkey Temple, also called Durga Temple is a beautifully decorated temple with designer carvings inlaid with semi-precious stones and a water pool ‘Kund’. Tulsi Manas Mandir exhibits selected depictions painted on temple walls from the Hindu scripture, Ramayana. See an undivided relief map of India carved out of a marble in the Bharat Mata Mandir, also called Mother India Temple. Birla Temple, also known as Marble Temple is completely made of marble devoted to Lord Shiva. Ramnagar Fort was built in 18th century opposite to Tulsi Ghat. It reflects Mughal architecture with a museum which displays an impressive collection pertaining to the kings of the Benares city (now Varanasi).
Then leave for Sarnath and enjoy the sightseeing to important Buddhist historical sites - Dhameka Stupa, Chaukhandi Stupa, Sarnath Archeological Museum and Mulagandhakuti Vihara. Sarnath is one of the four Buddhist pilgrimage sites. It is known for being the place where Buddha gave his first sermon after attaining enlightenment.
After the Sarnath tour, you will be driven back to Varanasi city to attend the sacred Ganga Aarti at the famous Dashashwamedha Ghat. It is a magnetizing spiritual affair with priests performing religious rites and devotees participating actively by singing hymns, playing cymbals and ringing bells creating a strong spiritual aura.
After the evening Aarti you will be safely dropped at your hotel. The Full Day city tour around Varanasi completes hereby.
