About this activity
The tour will begin with a meeting point in Piazzale Roma at 9.30 am with an English speaking professional local guide who will guide and drive you only 45 mins from Venice. During your drive you will be served fresh water and snacks and a video will accompany you along the way showing images of the vineyards you will visit during the day.
The Valdobbiadene Prosecco tour includes a visit to worldwide champagne producers; the vineyards of Valdobiaddene are situated only 50 km from Venice. The canteens offer guided tours showing and explaining the whole process. Prosecco DOC known as spumante (sparkling wine), frizzante (semi sparkling wine) or tranquillo (still wine) depending on the perlage, made from glera grapes known as prosecco but other grapes are included.
At 10:30 am you will be assisted by the owner or assistant at the winery for a guided tour in English. During the tour wine and food tasting will be served. At 11:30 am tour ends with a free walk around the area , 30 min relax with a prosecco or champagne served.
After that the guide will give you a further insight of the area with a short drive around Conegliano Valdobiaddene.
12:30 pm is time to return to Venice.
If you wish remain in the area for lunch (optional at your own expense) please advise in "special requirements" for restaurant reservation.

This was a wonderful tour!!! Our guide Caterina was wonderful. She was knowledgeable about all the Astoria area and what she didn't know was answered by the helpful people guiding us throughout the winery. Anyone interested in the Champagne and Prosecco, or just those that like to drink them, will love this tour.
