We decided to skip the glass blowing that was included with our tour and pay for the tour with viator instead. We were both very happy with the experience. Being able to interact and create a pendant was an experience we will never forget!
A great introduction to this special technique in glass making (different to glass blowing). We were introduced to the history of the art followed by practical demo and shown how to make colourful pendants to keep.
My husband and 2 daughters had a wonderful experience and learned theory, Massimiliano taught us theory, demonstrated and we made our own necklace.
My wife and 14 year old granddaughter participated in this activity while I observed and took photos. We had looked for a glassblowing class that would be more than just a demonstration preceding a sales pitch for expensive glassware, and this fit perfectly. Massimiliano was slow and patient in his demonstrations and teaching, helping each of them make a beautiful pendant for a necklace, but letting them chose colors and put their own touches on the jewelry. He was very emphatic about safety rules, as he should be, with the potential dangers in this process. He did not even suggest that we buy some of his work, although we did purchase several Christmas ornaments, because we wanted something to remember this great experience.
Wonderful teaching, very patient and informative. It was a great lesson to have before we went to Murano and really enhanced my appreciation THANK YOU!!
We got the chance to make a pendant for a necklace, we were shown how to make it and given step by step instructions on how to do this. It is a fine art and I felt relaxed and not rushed, but instead we were welcomed and patience over our varying abilities by the teacher allowed us to both make a pendant successfully.
