About this activity
The tour departs from Piazzale Roma, in Venice.
Aboard a car or minivan, we will reach in 1 hour Conegliano and the area of the Superior Prosecco DOCG. Your Wine advisor will tell you about secrets and curiosities of this sparkling wine, as well as all the territorial issues that are beyond Prosecco DOCG, how the exportation of this wine worldwide impacts this area and the life of its residents.
To start with, we will stop in a hidden and authentic winery where you will immerse yourself in the rows of vines. After a wonderful visit walking along the vineyards, discovering production techniques and processing environments, you will have a taste of Prosecco in its different quality and bubbles. Some traditional snacks are included.
The tour continues with lunch, (Not included in the price, so as to suggest the best restaurant according to your preference).
In the afternoon we will move for the ancient Cistercian Abbey of Follina and the spectacular Castle perched on the rock, from where we will reach Valdobbiadene, place symbol of Prosecco.
A stop in the curious place called " Osteria senz'Oste" (Osteria without host), is mandatory for admiring the hills of Valdobbiadene, a breathtaking landscape.
After that, we will visit another winery, one of the greatest names of the Prosecco of Valdobbiadene.
Finally we will bring you in Villa Barbaro, a Villa built in 1500 by Andrea Palladio and now an UNESCO world heritage site. You can visit the Villa, which is still the center of its farm and an historical winery with high quality wines.
We will reach Asolo, one of the most beautiful borghi of Italy, for a walk and, if you want, an aperitif or a last glass of wine before coming back to Venice.

Absolutely loved this tour! Our guide Chiara and driver were amazing! They were very accommodating to our needs and Chiara shared lots of interesting information. By the end of the day we were well versed in how Prosecco is produced and how to know the difference in quality of Prosecco when buying at the store or restaurant. Loved the fact that it was a private tour (we were five) where we could spend extra time in places that we wanted to take photos or just simply relax and take in the beautiful scenery. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone that loves the countryside and has an appreciation for Prosecco.
