About this activity
Meet your guide under the Torre dell'Orologio (Clock Tower) in St. Mark's Square in time for your 11am tour departure, where you'll explore Venice on foot and by boat.
Follow your guide to the Castello district, and explore one of the most characteristic parts of the city. Covering the long eastern section of the city, the area is alive with charming corners that tell the history of the 'Serenissima.' Stroll past Piazza San Zaccaria to see the white marble lombardesco-style church of San Giorgio dei Greci, the former center of the Scuola dei Greci (Confraternity of the Greeks).
Continue to the Scuola di San Giorgio degli Schiavoni, another of the city's historic scuole (confraternity houses). See the Arsenale, before going to the Rio delle Galeazze to board a private motorboat. Once aboard, cruise the hidden canals to see Venice from a different perspective. Sail to Fondamenta Nuove for a quick look at the northern side of the lagoon, and the islands of San Michele, Murano and Burano.
Cruise back to the city center to sail up the Grand Canal to Rialto Market. Experience the souk-like atmosphere, before returning to St. Mark's Square with an expected completion of the tour around 1pm.
