This was a very basic tour. The meeting place was hard to find. We walked around from place to place with very little information shared at each place. The biggest disappointment was reaching San Marco’s Square and nothing was said other than this is the end of the tour. They need to improve the content especially for a city with rich history like Venice.
This private tour was great. We took the tour on our first full day in Venice and it really provide useful as we walked around on our own in the days that followed. The tour guide showed us many different parts of the city, including well known sites, but she also educated us on the history of the city and why it was laid out the way that it was.
Great and informative tour. Our guide clearly knew Venice well and gave us recommendations for restaurants and bars to visit. We hit the highlights and also visited some sites that are not usually on the tourist map. Definitely a walking tour to check out on our visit to Venice.
Our tour guide had something negative and discouraging to say about everything, including Marco Polo, his house, and told us not to go to Verona because Romeo and Juliet were fake. It was a disappointing experience for my daughter, who just finished a unit at school on Marco Polo, and read Romeo and Juliet just before our trip. Also she said that Venice was built in the midst of the lagoon and did not tell us that there were many existing islands, despite us specifically asking whether there was any land. She said, “No, it was all water.” She also did not point out the landmarks that were listed in the itinerary.
Our tour guide Davide was amazing. The tour was very informative and little humorous details provided made it even more enjoyable. We would recommend this tour 1000.
We were lucky and the tour was just the two of us and the guide. We saw a lot and our tour guide was very knowledgeable.
Very knowledgeable guide. Went at a good pace. Don't use microphones and hearing devices so often time during our 2 hour walk, couldn't hear what he was saying.
Great tour guide!! Highly recommend on your first morning in Venice. Gave us a great overview of the city and provided excellent recommendations and tips on the city!!
