Your trip begins at a convenient spot in central Venice, where you’ll meet your local, expert guide and board a private water taxi for the island of Murano. On your way, drink in gorgeous views of the Venetian lagoon while you sip on complimentary prosecco and learn about the history of the island from your guide.
After a short trip, you’ll arrive to Murano’s most famous glass factory to see a live demonstration from one of its master artisans. The last stop of your tour is Burano, an island famous for its colorful houses, used to help sailors off shore identify which home belonged to them. The trip to the islands was exactly as described and very enjoyable. The water taxi was very comfortable and perfect for the small group. Our guide, Christina, provided a wealth of information and was very attentive and entertaining. Our driver, Davido, was also excellent. The lace making demonstration was a bit lacking and was used as a selling point for the store, but there was no pressure to purchase anything. It was an enjoyable half day out of the city.
