This was an evening to remember!!!! The service was first class, the full course dinner was flawless and the drinks unlimited!!! This was one of the BEST evenings spent on my Africa trip. We highly recommend.
This was a great sunset dinner cruise we saw so much wildlife, including Hippos, Giraffe, Baboons, Crocodiles. The dinner was amazing, I highly recommend this tour
What can I say. Absolutely fantastic experience with good crew. Lovely meal to boot. Definately one off the main highlights of our holiday
The Safari Club rooms are way better than the Safari Lodge rooms, worth the incremental price. That said the Club operation needs improvements. Service is not up to standard as a top hotel esp for its restaurant operation. Staff level is low and service is less than expected. Breakfast variety is reasonably good however. Victoria Falls is very seasonal. To see the fall, it's best to go in their summer time when water is plantiful. We went in Oct. water is already very low, rendering a much much less spectacular fall, say may be one third of the max width. By comparison, Niagara Falls in Canada-US is way more spectacular. As well, Victoria Falls does not offer a good vantage point to view the falls, unlike Niagara Falls. Victoria Falls as a destination is still worth visiting, but do not just focus on the Falls. Boma is an interesting cultural dinner show place. Cost 65US. But don't expect too much of the food nor show. Food variety is good, but quality not quite. Walthog meat is excellent, but roasted lamb we had was seriously tough in spite of request for a more tender cut. Drinks are extra. Outlook Cafe is an excellent spot. I say, must go. It offers a very good vantage point to see the gorge downstream of the Falls. Drinks are inexpensive. Overall VFs is worth going. Safari Club is recommended for its location and view. The latter makes the trip worthwhile.
We took the dinner cruise our last night in Africa (September 1). It was the perfect way to end our two week trip. We saw elephants, hippos, and crocodiles! The boat, crew, drinks and meal were great! Definitely recommend!
