About this activity
Take the tram with your private guide and explore Vienna's impressive Ringstrasse (Ring Road), opened with a grand ceremony by Emperor Franz Joseph on May 1, 1865. See the city's splendid sights, such as Vienna State Opera, National Theatre, Vienna Parliament, City Hall, Museum of Applied Arts, Museum of Fine Arts, Natural History Museum, Vienna Stock Exchange, Votive Church and several of the city's parks. Stop also midway through your tour to see Danube river.
After the Viennese tram experience with the locals, you will be taken on a city walk starting at the Opera House. Pass the famous Sacher Café, Albertina Museum, Capuchin Church with its Imperial Crypt and the famous shopping street Kärtnerstraße. Once you reach St. Stephen's Cathedral, the heart of the city, you will also see Graben and the amazing Plaque Monument, the Baroque St. Peter's Church, Kohlmarkt with its fancy stores as well as the famous pastry shop Demel Café, once a purveyor to the Imperial and Royal Court of Austria-Hungary.
Your guided walking tour will end at Hofburg Imperial Palace, which once was the center of the Habsburg dynasty ruling the Austro-Hungarian empire.
Now it is time to make your way to the most popular tourist attraction in Vienna: Schönbrunn Palace. See the Rococo-style summer residence of the great Habsburg dynasty and enjoy a walk in the beautiful Schönbrunn Palace Gardens. Guests are welcome to explore the imperial rooms (at own expense).
After your visit to Schonbrunn Palace your guide will bring you back to the city center where your Vienna city tour ends.

The guide was very flexible to allow us to arrange the order of visits. Since we wanted to see the Schonbrunn Palace we asked to go there first. We were happy to fit in the audio-guided tour. The walking tour was informative.
