Itinerary

Stop At: Karl-Marx-Hof, Vienna Austria

Built in 1930, at over a kilometer in length (0.68 mi)), it is the longest single residential building in the world. Designed for a population of about 5,000, the premises include many amenities, including laundromats, baths, kindergartens, a library, doctor offices, and business offices.

Duration: 10 minutes

Stop At: Kahlenberg, Hoehenstrasse 125 19th district - Dobling, Vienna 1190 Austria

A panoramic bus ride brings us up to the edge of the Vienna Woods. On a clear day the view reaches the outskirts of Bratislava as well as the first mountains of the Alps.

Duration: 10 minutes

Pass By: Beethovengang, Vienna Austria

Walking down the Nussberg we pass Vienna’s smallest graveyard. In warm weather a number of simple taverns are open amidst the vineyards.

Beethoven’s bust marks one of his favorite trails in the neighborhood.

Stop At: Beethoven Museum, Probusgasse 6, Vienna 1190 Austria

Eroica-Gasse brings us to Pfarrplatz and nearby Beethoven-Haus in Probusgasse where he wrote the desperate Heiligenstadt Testamen.

We end the tour at Mayer am Pfarrplatz, where Beethoven spent one of his summers. The white wines here are excellent and the ambiance is inviting.

Duration: 45 minutes
