Mola Mola Marine Dolphin Cruise from the Walvis Bay Waterfront to Pelican Point
3 h
About this activity
The Mola Mola Marine Dolphin Cruise starts at 9h00 and usually lasts 3 hours. Check in time is at 8h30 at our Walvis Bay Waterfront Offices. All boats depart from the Waterfront Jetty (in front of our office). From here boats generally stay in the protected lagoon area with the tour done in the mornings before the infamous Walvis Bay wind picks up. All boats are stable double hull catamarans.
Highlights of the excursion include Pelican Point and the Pelican Point Lighthouse, the oyster farms, Walvis Bay Harbour and various interesting vessels and rigs. Pelican Point is home to more than thirty thousand Cape Fur Seals!
You will have the opportunity to sight the Bottlenose and Heavyside Dolphins, Cape Fur Seals, Mola Molas (Sun Fish), penguins, Leatherback Turtles and Whales (July-November). The bird sightings include Flamingos, pelicans, cormorants, White Chinned Petrel, Wilson’s Storm Petrel, Cape Gannet, Black Oystercatcher.
This will be done in the comfort of our Traditional Catamarans and two Speedboat Catamarans, all with covered cabin ares, ample seating and toilet facilities on board. Mola Mola is very strict about seating space, and never overcrowd our vessels.
Our skippers in guides will entertain you in English, German, Afrikaans and Dutch.
On the excursion you will be served a light lunch, fresh Namibia oysters & sparkling wine. Soft drinks, Namibian beer and bottled water also included.
The mornings can be quite chilly so warm clothes or a jacket are recommended, but blankets will also be available on board.
