Our tour of the Lake District was great, although we were initially confused with the fact that the package only included two days of touring. Our three nights at the hotel and the included dinners and breakfasts were wonderful! The Lake District is a beautiful place and the two full-day tours gave us a very good overview, with a slightly different perspective each day.
Excellent organised tour. Everything was so wonderful. Weather could be a bit better. We enjoyed every day of this tour. Highly recommended.
We highly recommend this tour. The accommodation, the meals breakfast and dinner and the grounds at Lindeth Howe were first class. We were picked up and dropped off at Windermere Station on time as requested and we thoroughly enjoyed our day tours with Mountain Goat as they were so professional. We had Matthew on the first day. He was a terrific guide very amusing and knowledgeable. We had Tony on our second day who was a great guide and a good driver as negotiating the mountain passes took a lot of driving skill. The scenery was spectacular and we loved driving over the mountain passes along narrow roads with the dry stone walls. So much history. The little towns and villages of Keswick, Kendall, Bowness, Gracemere etc were all beautiful with their pretty gardens which were in full bloom. The lakes themselves were also beautiful and we enjoyed our boat ride. I would definitely recommend this tour and would go again tomorrow if I could.
This was a great trip and a great choice. Hotel was excellent...food was excellent.... tours were fun and exciting. I would love to do it all again!!!
Lindeth Howe Country House Hotel was fantastic. The room and facilities were very clean and comfortable. We had a great breakfast and even better dinners every night of our stay. The chefs were amazing and the pastry chef even more amazing: the desserts were world class. The tours were excellent too. The High Adventure truly gave us great views of lakes and vistas that will always be remembere. The Ten Lake Tour was excellent too. My wife and I were very happy with the time we spent in the Lake District and we felt the cost was well worth it.
Excellent tour and accommodations. I would highly recommend this trip.
