About this activity
Your private guide and personal driver will meet you in your hotel lobby in the morning.
Your private tour of Xi’an begins with a visit to the world-famous Terracotta Warriors Museum, the largest underground army.
Later you will have lunch in a local restaurant tasting specialties of Xi’an.
Next you will be transferred back to Xi’an and visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda (located in the southern suburb of Xian City, about 2.49 miles (4 kilometers) from the downtown), where Master Xuanzang translated the sutras he brought to China from India. As the symbol of the old-line Xian, Big Wild Goose Pagoda is a well-preserved ancient building and a holy place for Buddhists. Standing in the Da Ci'en Temple complex, it attracts numerous visitors for its fame in the Buddhist religion and its simple but appealing style of construction. It was added to the World Heritage List on June 22, 2014, together with other sites along the ancient Silk Road.
After a good visit here, your guide and driver will take you to the Muslim Quarter, a lively area buzzing with various food stalls, souvenir shops and visitors from around the world. Here you will also visit the Great Mosque, the largest mosque in China. The majority of the mosque was built during the early Ming dynasty. It now houses more than twenty buildings in its five courtyards, and covers 12,000 square meters.
At the end of the tour, your guide and driver will transfer you back to hotel.
