4 Days Xiamen City & Fujian Hakka Tulou Discovery

DAY1: Xiamen Arrival

Hotel: Xiamen Hotel

Welcome to Xiamen, the Garden City on the Sea! Clear the customs and retrieve your baggage by yourself upon arrival, be greeted by our tour guide in the airport or train station who is holding a sign on which says your name. A comfortable vehicle (non-smoking) with experienced driver will transfer you directly to your hotel. Your guide will help you check in. The rest of today is on your own to explore this beautiful city.

DAY2: Xiamen

Attractions: Gulangyu Island; Shuzhuang Garden; Piano Museum; South Putuo Temple; Hulishan Fortress

Hotel: Xiamen Hotel

Pick up from your hotel at Xiamen around 8:30am, then you are transferred to the ferry on a 10-minute ferry boat trip to Gulangyu Island. You will see many colonial buildings constructed after the Opium War, including the Britain, the America, France, German, Spain. You are also arranged to also visit Shuzhuang Garden, a mesmerizing seaside garden and the famous Piano Museum with a collection of 80-fold valuable old pianos from all over the world. 

After lunch, continue to visit South Putuo Temple, the most famous Buddhist temple in town. Then head to Huliashan Fortress, which was built in 1891, the architecture mainly blending the style in Ming and Qing Dynasty and the style from Europe. The fortress houses the world's biggest cannon for coastal defense. 

After that, you will have a scenic drive on the Island Ring Road along the East Coast of Xiamen before transferring back to your hotel in Xiamen around 6:00pm

DAY3: Xiamen - Nanjing - Xiamen

Attractions: Tianluokeng Tulou Cluster; Yuchanglou; Taxia Village

Hotel: Xiamen Hotel

Pick up at your hotel from Xiamen at 8:00am and take 2.5 hours scenic drive to Nanjing. Your tulou visit includes Tianluokeng Tulou Cluster, Yuchanglou, and the earth buildings in Taxia village. You will enjoy a local and traditional hakka lunch at one of the hakka house. 

DAY4: Xiamen - Departure

Attractions: Jimei School Village

Meal: B

Hotel: NO

Pick up from the hotel and transfer to Jimei School Village. The Jimei School Village attracts many tourists not only for its famous schools but also for its beautiful natural scenery. The buildings feature the architectureal style of the Western world and the architectural style particular to areas in the southern part of Fujian Province which is homleand of many overseas Chinese.

After the tour, your guide and driver will escort you the airport/railway station to catch the flight or train to your next destination. Service ends!
