You will be collected from your hotel in Balloons Team's bus, and provided with a light breakfast and safety briefing while the balloons inflate, before enjoying a dawn flight lasting just under one hour. Flights operate daily from October through March.

Departure towards Mount Popa, rocky outcrop overlooking the plain of Bagan and place of worship dedicated to the Nats, the spirits of the Burmese pantheon.

On the way, morning departure by road: the journey is the opportunity to discover the landscapes of plains punctuated with sugar palms.

Stop in a small artisan factory with demonstration of harvest and tasting of sweets and palm alcohol. "History of Toddy Palm or Sugar Palm", one of the most useful plants of Burma and neighboring India. This palm is ubiquitous in the Burmese countryside and is recognizable by its fan-shaped leaves. The stalk supporting the flowers is cut to harvest the juice. This very sweet liquid after fermenting, gives the famous Toddy or palm wine. After a fermentation, this wine gives a very strong alcohol and then vinegar. This same juice, after evaporation crystallizes into a sugar which is marketed very commonly.

Lunch at Paing Palm Tree Garden.

You will walk through these plantations of palm trees and there will see the farmers of the corner skillfully climb up the palm trees in order to unhook the fruits.

Arrive at Mount Popa.

The main attraction is not really the monastery of Mount Popa itself (which few tourists have the courage to visit at the cost of climbing a staircase of more than 800 steps under the sun!) Is the Small museum devoted to the Nats.

But, if you have the courage to mount your reward will be the superb view of the surrounding Burmese countryside ....
